My first "unboxing" Malifaux

This just arrived today from Wayland Games. This will be my first venture into the world of Malifaux and i  hope a long term once i try playing  hope a long term once i try  the rules    

(1.5 Rules, Lady Justice Box set and a Retro Fate Deck)

I bought the Lady Justice box which is essentially a starter box and all you need to start playing. At long with that i got the newest edition of the rules and a retro fate deck. Malifaux is played with cards instead of dies.

The miniatures are very detailed metals and look like they will be a lot of fun to paint. The box included 1x Lady Justice, 3x Death Marshalls and 1x Judge. Every miniatures came with a stat/abilities card. Lady Justice and her Death Marshalls is the Guilds premier anti Resurrectionist crew.

The Retro Fate Deck is a Standard 52-card deck, but instead of clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades it uses rams, masks, tomes and crows. Also included are two Jokers. Each rank correlates to a faction in the world of Malifaux. Rams = The Guild, Masks = The Neverborn, Tomes = The Arcanists and the Crows = The Resurrectionists.

The book is the newest edition (1.5) of the Malifaux rules. It has 236 pages and it includes fluff, the base characters from the factions and encounters(Scenarios are called encounters in Malifaux). Its a shame it doesn't cover all characters added over the years and i suspect you have to buy some of the expansion books. But then again you get the character cards when you buy the miniatures.

To sum it all up. It looks really impressive and the overall quality is high. I am really looking forward to have a go with painting the miniatures, hopefully i will get them done in the next couple of weeks.
